HOW IT COMES TOGETHER

PLATFORM CONVERGENCE

Most programmes build the suit, instrument it for testing, then strip the instrumentation out. We develop the suit and its telemetry as one system, so the article under test is the article that ships. Validation then runs twice, in the rig and in the field, and both feed the same evidence chain.

Core
The Kosmosuit Family — Foundational Hardware Architecture
  • Life Support Systems — breathing gas, pressure and CO₂ management across the operating envelope
  • Thermal Management — active regulation against heat strain and cold stress, the two limits that end most exposures
  • Injury Protection — load paths and joint mobility engineered to reduce the musculoskeletal cost of wearing the suit
  • Suit Systems Integration — sensing embedded in the garment, so biomarkers are captured by the suit rather than added to it
  • Suit Avionics & Comms — the data path that carries operator state off the suit in real time

Pulse
The Kernel360 Family — Data And Intelligence Layer
  • Physiological Telemetry — core and skin temperature, heart-rate variability, blood oxygen and work of breathing, held stable under load. Motion artifact runs an order of magnitude above the biosignal itself, which is why consumer wearables are rated for rest and slow walking, not operations.
  • Environmental Monitoring — pressure, gas mix, thermal load and contamination measured alongside the operator. Sensor drift tracks the same temperature and humidity swings the mission does, so environment is a calibration input, not a separate log.
  • Mission Performance Analytics — work rate against physiological cost, so a supervisor reads capacity remaining rather than a threshold already crossed.
  • Operator Dashboards — the live operational picture, configurable by domain, from the operator's own display to the mission desk.

Prove
Infrastructure For Validating Human Systems
  • Environmental Simulation — SUITRIX rigs reproduce mission conditions across all four domains, so campaigns are repeatable and benchmarked rather than one-off.
  • Instrumented Measurement — SYNHUM wears and loads the suit, generating physical ground truth at conditions no ethics board would put an operator through.
  • Predictive Validation — SYNSUIT models what the measurement should be. Every divergence between prediction and measurement refines the model.
  • Certification Support — evidence structured for the frameworks customers certify against, generated by the validation programme rather than reconstructed after it.

Deploy
Platforms That Deploy Human Systems Into Real Environments
  • HELIOS — modular CubeSat and sounding rocket testbed. Puts subsystems into the stratosphere and orbit as hosted payloads, without the cost of a dedicated mission.
  • SYNHUM — deployable human surrogate that wears and loads the article in ocean, stratospheric and CBRN conditions, generating flight-representative data with no operator exposure.
  • Extreme Environment Demonstration Missions — the step from TRL 6 to TRL 7, where a prototype proven in a relevant environment has to survive the operational one. Most hardware stalls there.
  • Qualification Evidence — data captured at the extremes of the environmental envelope, structured for the certifying authority rather than reconstructed for it.

Labs
Research And Experimental Engineering Programs
  • Government Research Programs — grant-funded development where the funding body sets the milestones and reviews the results. External scrutiny is the mechanism, not a by-product.
  • Space Agency Collaborations — programs run to agency requirements, where the operating conditions come from the mission rather than from us.
  • Experimental Human Systems — sensing approaches, materials and thermal strategies tested as architectures before they are productised. Everything survives a rig before it reaches a suit.
  • Technology Demonstrators — hardware built to prove one specific claim in one specific environment, so capability climbs the TRL scale on evidence rather than assertion.

Programs Connecting The Platform To The Public And Partners
  • Museum Systems & Replicas — a Kosmosuit replica on permanent display at the Australian Space Discovery Centre in Adelaide, showing visitors how human systems keep people alive beyond Earth.
  • Exploration Exhibits — mission-design programs at events including the Sydney Science Festival, drawing thousands of young participants into the story of human spaceflight.
  • Facility & Astronaut Programs — laboratory visits hosting astronauts from multiple national space agencies, including during the International Astronautical Congress.
  • Cultural Partnerships — collaborations with science centres, education programs and public institutions that put working human systems engineering in front of people who will build the next generation of it.
