RIGS

SUITRIX is a family of high-fidelity test rigs that reproduce mission conditions on the ground, covering thermal, pressure, vacuum and articulation, so human systems can be verified and benchmarked repeatably before anyone depends on them.

WHAT DOES SUITRIX ENABLE?

Mission Conditions On The Ground
Reproduce the thermal, pressure and mechanical profile of a mission before committing hardware to the field, at a fraction of the cost of finding out later.
Repeatable Benchmarking
Identical conditions on every run mean two suit revisions can be compared directly, and a regression is visible rather than inferred.
Certification Evidence
Generates the documented, traceable test record that agencies, primes and certification bodies require before a system is approved for operational use.
Cross-Domain Comparability
The same instrumentation and baseline across land, sea, air and space rigs, so results from one domain are meaningful against another.
Rig Configurations

WHICH DOMAINS DOES SUITRIX COVER?

Four rig configurations share a common instrumentation and data architecture. What changes between them is the environmental envelope, not the measurement standard. That is what makes results comparable across domains.

LAND
Thermal, contamination and articulation testing for CBRN, firefighting, polar and industrial systems.

SEA
Hyperbaric and immersion testing across the saturation diving and offshore survival envelope.

AIR
Altitude, decompression and high-G simulation for HALO and high-altitude flight systems.

Validation Apparatus

HOW DOES SUITRIX WORK WITH SYNHUM AND SYNSUIT?

PROVE is one apparatus with three parts. SUITRIX supplies the mission conditions, SYNHUM occupies the suit and generates the measurement, and SYNSUIT predicts what both should produce. Run together, prediction and measurement converge. Every divergence improves the model.

SUITRIX™: The Conditions
High-fidelity rigs that reproduce mission conditions across all domains for repeatable verification and benchmarking.
SYNHUM™: The Measurement
The instrumented human surrogate mounted inside the rig, generating physical ground truth without exposing an operator.
SYNSUIT™: The Prediction
Synthetic suit and digital twin environment. Rig results correct and anchor its simulation and predictive analytics.

Common Questions

SUITRIX, ANSWERED

What is SUITRIX?
SUITRIX is a family of high-fidelity test and validation rigs built by Metakosmos that reproduce mission conditions on the ground: thermal, pressure, vacuum, humidity, contamination and articulation, for repeatable verification and benchmarking of human systems.
What conditions can SUITRIX simulate?
Thermal cycling, pressure and vacuum, controlled humidity with icing and condensation, CBRN simulant contamination, and programmable mechanical articulation. Conditions can be run individually or combined.
Why does repeatability matter in suit testing?
Without identical conditions on every run, two suit revisions cannot be compared and a performance regression is inferred rather than measured. SUITRIX holds conditions tight enough that a change in result reflects a change in the hardware.
Can SUITRIX test third-party hardware?
Yes. The rigs are used to qualify partner and prime hardware as well as Metakosmos systems, producing a traceable test record with full raw data retention.
How does SUITRIX relate to SYNHUM and SYNSUIT?
SUITRIX supplies the conditions, SYNHUM occupies the suit inside the rig and generates the physical measurement, and SYNSUIT predicts what both should produce. Measured results correct the simulation so predicted performance stays anchored to physical ground truth.
